19  June 2013

Okay, okay, I promised some pictures of my day-tripping adventure last week . . . but in all honesty I didn't get to go everywhere I wanted to, so the pics had to wait. The good news is that with the exceptions of Cherry Beach, the Leslie Street Spit lighthouse, and Ward's Island, I have just about everything I need to get some work started on my new book, Reaver.

So in the Photos forum you should be seeing some of those ima...

10 June 2013

Yesterday was road-trip day. The first of the summer. Took a jaunt down to Toronto-town, and poked my nose around a few places I've never seen before, as well as a few others I haven't visited since I was about 6 years old. Lots of old memories locked away in those shady plots of land. Took a whole whack of pictures, but I'll need to sift through them and detemine which ones are worth posting before you all get a look at them.

The day started o...

10 June 2013

Chapter 26 of Firefly: Into the Fire is complete. It's a short little bridging chapter meant to put some closure on the Coldstone end of things. From here the story is going to move quite quickly, so buckle your seatbelts and hold on for the rest of the ride!

Fan Expo is just a little more than 2 months away. That might be enough time to put the finishing touches on Into the Fire before the Big Show! Stay tuned. I'm hoping to hold...

A Long Time Coming

29 May 2013

It's been a long time coming --- what with all the house-shopping and real estate hagglin' we've had to do over the past few months --- but Chapter 25 of Firefly: Into the Fire is FINALLY up and ready for your perusal. Now, I know some of you might have been hoping for a bit more action content in this climactic chapter, but I decided to down-play the hostilities a little and make it a bit more subtle. I think true fans of Joss Whedon's original format wil...

12 May 2013

Finally, after months --- and in truth YEARS --- of searching and saving and working and scrounging, we're home owners at last!!! That's right, boys and girls, Harriers & Heroes is going to have a brand new base of operations come 15 July! Yay us!!! It's been a long, hard process, one that has tested not only our patience, but our relationship as well, but I think Barb and I are at last going to have something we can call our own, something we can build upon,...

Exciting News!!

2 May 2013

One of my favourite authors, Mr F Paul Wilson, scribe of the Repairman Jack series, and other great thrillers, writes on Twitter that he plugs "thousands of words" over the weekend on a new project he has cooking. I'm soooo jealous! If only I had the time to punch out page after page after page on any one of the projects that are taking shape right now, maybe I could quit the 9-5 (or in my case, 8.30 to 6.00) grind and find eternal bliss in the worlds I cre...

Firefly: Into the Fire - Chapter 24

22 April 2013

It's been a long time coming, but Chapter 24 of Firefly: Into the Fire has been completed and is now posted on the site for you all to enjoy! Granted it's a short chapter, but I needed to end the current interlude and get back to the main story. There's a very satisfying ending in there somewhere, and I can't wait to get it out there for you all to read!

My biggest problem lately has been finding the time to sit down and actually get so...
